Objectives
- Students will construct a timeline of the activities in Peter's growth centered around the cross.
Lesson
- Draw a horizontal line on the whiteboard. About 2/3rds of the way down the line draw a cross.
- Ask students to recall important events in the the life of Peter, fill these in on the timeline.
- Some events to try and make sure are on the timeline:
- Peter's call to follow Jesus.
- Peter witnesses Jesus caring for children.
- Peter witnesses Jesus heal Blind Bartimaeus
- Peter witnesses Jesus dine with Zacchaeus
- Peter declares that Jesus is the Christ
- Peter flees when Jesus is arrested
- Peter denies Jesus
- Jesus forgives Peter
